Happy October! Happy Birthday Mark Korsak! "Are You Ready?" sounds best when played loud! TURN IT UP! I'm really glad Mark invited me to join the CDCircle2003. I really like to be exposed to new music and I really like sharing, so I was totally down for joining the group. When Mark told me that my month was October, I said, then you can call me Mr. October. I'm glad that I got Mark's birthday month, and I'm really into Halloween. So October was fine with me. In August I started putting some .MP3s in a folder labeled "For CD Circle". I came up with about 75 songs. Stuff that I downloaded and CDs that I ripped myself. I had a hard time putting together my CD because I have so many favorite songs with different styles of music. I wanted my CD to really rock with a new sound. I wanted my CD to be full of new music. I knew I wanted to put some Snoop, Limp Bizkit, Devin, Cypress Hill, Eminem, Kottonmouth Kings, and Metallica (which didn't make it). But I guess the whole thing came together when I found/downloaded the Lunatic Calm song. I had been looking on the web for this song for a year or so and finally found it in August. When the Metallica CD, DVD, and mini-book came out, I said to myself, I want to have all kinds of bonus stuff on my CD too. Ozzy also has really cool enhanced CDs. I wanted to have a really cool package with a poster inside and a web page where you can download bonus songs. I decided to make the poster, the web page, but put the bonus .MP3s on the CD. There is basically a whole CD of bonus music. My CD, web pages, and the poster took me about three months to make. I took the project of making the CD way to fully express my creativity. I wanted my CD to look really cool and have a lot of bonus stuff. Even though I really don't like riding on roller coasters, I think life is very much like a roller coaster. And riding in the car with me while I have the music blaring is very much like a roller coaster. So while your listening to my CD try to image your riding in my car at 80 - 100 mph down a Virginia highway. Are you ready? I hope you like it. Mr. October |
